Arthur J. Travieso is Of Counsel to HOWARD | NASSIRI. He focuses his litigation practice in the areas of products liability, real estate, environmental law, toxic tort claims, insurance bad faith, land use, landlord/tenant law, and construction defect matters. Mr. Travieso is an experienced litigator with over 20 civil jury verdicts to his credit.

Mr. Travieso’s environmental and toxic tort claim experience is unparalleled. His extensive experience in these matters involves successful litigations with regard to "toxic mold" claims at trial and other claims involving asbestos, mold, benzene, welding rod fumes and lead paint exposure cases. Mr. Travieso is one of a small number of attorneys in Southern California to have actually tried to verdict construction defect cases. Mr. Travieso is also a savvy appellate attorney having handled many appellate matters throughout his career. Among his career highlights and achievements, Mr. Travieso served as the lead attorney in Miller v. Givens, 30 Cal.App.4th 18 and Arias v. Katella Townhouse Homeowners Association, Inc., 127 Cal.App.4th 847. Attorneys throughout the state of California often cite these cases because both cases establish the rules under which a prevailing party at trial can recover attorneys' fees post-judgment.

Mr. Travieso received his B.S. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles where he received Departmental Honors. He then went on to receive his J.D. from Western State University College of Law. Mr. Travieso is admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Courts in the Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California. Mr. Travieso has been a partner at a number of well respected international firms and has founded environmental litigation departments at three of these firms. Mr. Travieso both speaks and teaches at seminars on environmental and real estate matters.
